The Michigan Frame Builders Association is the fifth chartered chapter of the National Frame Builders Association. Established in 1979, MFBA represents post frame construction, manufacturing, code and design officials, and lumber and building materials dealers.

MFBA is the only Michigan-based trade association representing post frame construction. MFBA members have the opportunity to influence the post frame industry locally through chapter involvement. They keep up-to-date on the latest industry information.

MFBA members are our strength, and the following industry professionals are invited to help support the continued growth of the post frame industry:

  • Builders
  • Suppliers
  • Associate/Professional

MFBA EXPO

Michigan's only opportunity for you to directly and cost effectively promote your products and services to post-frame contractors, building code officials, architects, and lumber and building material dealers from across the state.

The 2007 Expo was a huge success with over 100 people attending including code officials and prospective members.  The day was packed with educational programs, award presentations, and entertainment.  Four speakers shared their expertise, knowledge and experience with attendees.  They were Louis Jungluth of Wisconsin Safety Services, Brent Leatherman of Timber Tech Engineering, Larry Wainright representing the Wood Truss Council Association, and Irvin Poke of the State of Michigan Bureau of Construction Codes and Fire Safety. Eleven exhibitors participated in the event. Entertainment during the lunch program was provided by Larry & Jerry Unplugged.

Building of the Year Awards:
Each year the Michigan Frame Builders Association presents the Building of the Year awards to builder members who have submitted building projects in the categories of commercial/industrial, equestrian, agricultural/livestock and residential garages.  This year, Orchard Construction won two awards:  agricultural/livestock and commercial/industrial

2007 MFBA Golf Outing a Big Success

Once again, the Michigan Frame Builders Association golf outing was blessed with beautiful weather even though the clouds opened up and drenched the golfers during the registration process.  By the time everyone was ready to golf, the clouds were gone and the sun was shining.

New this year, MFBA sponsored a local charity organization, C.H.U.M. Therapeutic Riding.  The organization offers the opportunity to share the world of horses with individuals with and without disabilities of all ages.  Fifty percent of the profit from the event will be donated to C.H.U.M.
